고령화 사회의 연착륙을 위해서는, 핵심과 본질을 바라보는 시각이 필요하다. 폭발적인 성장과 수많은 아류들이 판치는 세상에서, 어떻게 하면 본질을 바라볼 수 있을까? 포스트모더니즘의 사회에서 본질을 바라보는 능력은 생각보다 간단한 문제가 아니다. 무엇을 취하고 무엇을 버리느냐에 대해 알아야 하기 때문이다. 이에 대해 사고하는 방식 자체도 문제다. 결국 종합적이고 철학적인 다언어적 접근이 필요한 것이다. 서로가 자신의 말이 맞다고 주장하는 '전문가'들이 판치는 한국사회에서는 더욱이 판단하는 것이 쉽지가 않다. 과학, 철학, 역사, 외국어에 대해 능통하고,전문가를 찾아야 하는 이유이다.
